[Autumn 2016] At Sandby borg I met a group of thirty students and professors of archaeology coming from several countries (connected with INNOVARCH and GRASCA). It was cold, windy and there was ice and sleet about plus the sound of the sea was particularly making its presence heard! They collected sounds from the natural environment which included sounds their bodies made, and together performed an experimental music sketch in the landscape using these sounds. The piece lasted about 15 minutes. After this, in three groups, they composed three small sound sketches called ‘Hierarchy’ ‘Entitlement’ and ‘Celebration’, performances of which I recorded as audio files.
