[Spring 2015] The pen diagram is an experimental music score. It progresses through a pattern like a big letter āeā (for experimental). The photo shows a performance of this in progress. I gave each player a 14cm-long length of plumbing pipe which replicates a swan-wing ulna. Musical wind instruments are known in the archaeological record from as long ago as forty-thousand years made from bird bones. The people performing the piece are artists, some of whom had expressed concern about visiting the space. This is because the space is Sandby borg ('borg' means castle in Swedish) where in about 470 AD a massacre happened and many of the dead are still lying where they had fallen only a matter of a foot under our feet.
